preCNY to CNY..

so when i bumped into 2 monks that day, i asked them where's the nearest temple..
"不好意思, 請問一下最靠近的寺廟在哪?" (i asked in mandarin as i thought they were taiwanese)
"i'm sorry we are not from Japan. we are from Korea..."
to my surprise, i didn't expect they are from korea! =p
so..
"한국사람이예요? 안녕하세요! 실례지만 여기근처 errr.... temple어디데있습니까?"
at that point of time! i really forgot what's temple in korean! seeshhhh! how embarassing it that!
but they understand and told me there are 2 along Gloucester Rd.
that's the first one we found.. it's not exactly a temple but just a meditation centre.. still they have the praying room and we went in to pray.. at least i did my prayers for CNY! =)

CNY eve...
nail art i did myself.. can you see the lovely flowers? sry, that's the clearest pic i can get! =p
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CNY!
all the cookies YY made! i HAVE to learn from her!!!!
and our steamboat dinner... i didn't know the theme is red! =p
Since CNY is gonna last for 15days...
Enjoy for the festive season! =)
p.s. i realized that almost all the asian countries follow the lunar calendar! besides China and HK, Jap, Korea, Vietnam all celebrates the lunar new year.. just that they refer to it differently..
chinese: 春节(chunjie) = spring festival
korean: 설날 (seolnal) = lunar new year's day
Jap: 正月(shougatsu)
Viet: Tet
p.s. i found the viet one by accident when i was looking for the jap name =p
Since CNY is gonna last for 15days...
Enjoy for the festive season! =)
