Another 4 days to go and I'll be spending most of my time in Englang, coming back to Malaysia during holidays...
It used to be the other way round!!
Looking back the past 18 years(18 coz there's one year i was in Aussie) living in Malaysia, there are so many things that I didn't do as a Malaysian:
- visit the long house in Sabah and Sarawak
- haven't step on the ground of Perlis
- never been to any CNY or Hari Raya open house by the Prime Minister
- eat Asam Laksa and Curry Laksa
- still not sure what's capati (is that how you spell?)
- fly Air Asia, a Malaysian owned airlines company
- be on the spot to watch national parade
- been to any national day countdown party
- wear Kebaya and Baju Kurung (yeah, believe it or not, i've never wore them!)
- been to a kampung (as in a real kampung with chickens running everywhere)
- learn any Malay instruments
- seen a real Wau
- haven't been on a KTM ride
but at least, to prove that I'm a Malaysian, these are stuff I've done before:
- learn, speak, and write BM
- fly MAS airlines (not for this time though.. why don't they fly too Bristol?? =p)
- eat Nasi Lemak (although i eat it without the peanuts, ikan bilis and sambal.. still counted!)
- wore cheongsam and sari (haha.. you can opt not to believe!)
- Joget (it's a Malay dance! and we learn it b4 going to Spain.. =))
- been to Pasar Malam
- supported Malaysia for Thomas Cup everytime!
- took a bus, LRT, and monorail before
- speak Manglish! =p
- ate satay( i prefer ketupat though!), roti Canai, Rojak and Curry Chicken
- been to mamak, drank teh tarik till late nite
- sang Negaraku (oh, obviously~!)
- can memorise Rukun Negara
hmmm.. that's about it?? rather short isn't it? I can't think of aything else.
but ayway, it's sometimes really proud to be a Malaysian!! =)
